    Get the baby a toy or a crib. Make a handmade gift or some kind of gift that you put a lot of thought into so that the person who is having a baby shower will be thankful. Don’t get the same gift as someone else

    A personalized keepsake like a photo frame or a book. Something that’ll grow with the kid and not be babyish, ya know?

    How about a "care basket" for the new mom?? You know, stuff like scented bubble bath, a gift certificate for a day spa, a promise to babysit while she and hubby have a "date night", that sort of thing?

    IF you have few hundred dollars to spend… my favorite gift was a playpin that had 2 packages of diapers in it (you can never have too many diapers!!) baby lotion, lots of bottles, toys, a boppy (where they learn to sit with) and all kinds of other stuff.. if not, just stick them in a basket or something..

    OR MAYBE.. everyone gets their babies pictures made a few times in their first years, so maybe go to people pictures and get a $100 gift certificate for their new baby.. that would be a great present!!

    i can’t think of nothing unique really.. maybe a bouncy chair… or a gift card…

    Some thing I really used when I had my babies was blankets.Then I started buying them,baby wipes lotion,baby bath,powder,hooded towels and wrap everthing in the blanket. for shower gifrts.Twas cute and handy.Also those plain white sleepers are great and you never can have too many.Baby’s make big messes for such little people.

    erm. maybe diaper service? those get maaaaaad expensive after a while. i dunno how much it costs, but they will love you for it.
