It’s 7:30 pm and I just realized I haven’t peed since I got up this morning. Is it because I just didn’t have to go? No. It’s because everytime I felt that, er, urge, someone else needed something more…milk, a diaper, a glass of water, a shoe tied, homework help, a nap, etc. Or, I felt "guilty" sneaking off to the bathroom when there was dinner to be made, laundry to fold, puzzle pieces to pick up, etc. And now I’m on Y!A with a baby on my lap who keeps threatening to wake up if I so much as think about doing something for myself. So tell me, moms….what’s something you’ve had to sacrifice?
TigerLily, I said "just for fun". I don’t really feel soul-wrenching guilt for going to the bathroom.

Breakfast and lunch. To be honest I just forget to eat sometimes, and don’t realize it until dinner. If I wasn’t "working" on the computer with YA on split screen, I wouldn’t have time for it either.

Oh puh-leez. Guilt for going to the bathroom?
Why would you feel guilt over a necessary bodily function?
I don’t have time for leisurely morning jogs much any more. I miss them.

I used to take long, hot showers right up until I had the baby. I would close all the doors, let the steam build up, and take my sweet time. I’d shave my legs, deep condition, all that fun stuff. I also had time to actually put lotion on afterwards.
Now it’s in and out.
I will say the water bill has gone down a bit.

LOL! I totally hear ya on the bathroom. I don’t feel guilty about going, I just never seem to have time and my bladder forgives easily, apparently forgetting it needs to go at least 3 or 4 times each day.
But, things I’ve given up on would have to be my toenails and reading. I’m always too tired to give myself a pedicure at the end of the day and by the time my hubby usually gets home all the nail places are closed. As for reading, that too seems to be a long lost pastime. Maybe when the kids are a little older??
Ah well, it’s all worth it.
