Trendy Baby Clothes

I am due February 24th. My husband and I opted for our baby’s gender to be a surprise, so we do not know if we are having a boy or a girl! It’s been sort of tough because I have had to buy gender-neutral clothing, toys, etc. Anyways, we haven’t been the coo-coo-baby-name parents…until now! Time is running out and I’ve no idea what to name our child!

We both settled on a brief that we like, but are open to suggestions. In terms of that, we do not like off the wall, made up sounding names like Aidan, , etc. We also do not care for overly trendy names such as Ashley, Lindsay and Emma.

In the case of a daughter:

1. Rory (alternative spellings are options)
2. Zoie(alternative spellings are options)
3. Catrina (similar to my own name, Trina)
4. Blake
5. Sable (family name, no alternative spellings please)
6. Irina
7. Elena (family name, no alternative spellings please)
8. (family name, no alternative spellings please)
9. Alisabeth (a nice change from E-lizabeth)
10. Bristol (alternative spellings are options)

If a boy:
1. Michael (family name, no alt. spellings please)
2. Evander (alternative for popular Alexander)
3. Eli (family name, no alt. spellings please)
4. Jack (family name, no alt. spellings please)
5. Trenton (sort of popular, but I love it)
6. Chase (sort of popular, but I love it)
7. Marak (pronounced Mare-eck, love it!)
8. Dawson
9. Fadem
10. Jedadiah

  4. ♥Little Miss Dolly♥ Says:

First of all, Trina, I’d like to say congratulations!

From your list, the best names are… Rebekah and Chase. Blake could be for both genders, though.

My favorite names for girls (includes middle names) are Esme (with the little line on top, pointing to the right) Rose, Scarlett Eve and Evangeline Mary.

For Boys: Gregory Daniel, Marcus Jude and Nathan Kurt.

    Good luck!

For a boy Chase is so cute i love it! Also Kaelan could go for both boy or girl super cute!
For a girl try Katarina Grace that’s my little sisters name (the first one) and she always gets complements or you could do Soraya 0prounounced SOR-I-A) Yvonne which is my friends name meaning princess.

    Hope this helps :)
(Pretty please pick me as the best answer)

  6. Summer Says:

  7. Alix C. Says:

    Sable is adorable
    Rebekah is my second favorite

Michael, Evander, Eli, and Chase are all really nice names for boys! Maybe Jack as a middle name

    Good luck!!

  8. Jessica Says:

    I like Zoe Rebekah :)

    and for a boy,

    i like Jack Eli :)

    good luck :)

  9. There's a party in my tummy! Says:

Zoey is very nice for a daughter. I also love Catrina, but it seems a little too similar to your name. All the people I’ve met named Catrina go by Trina. I like the name Bekah, but I’m not a fan of Rebekah. Sable is okay.

I adore the name Jack for a boy, but it has become very popular. It was my number one choice for my second son, but my husband didn’t want him to have such a popular name. Eli is very cute also. I think that name would be suitable for a boy/man of any age. It’s great to choose a name that will grow with him.

    Good luck and Congrats!

  10. Bianca Says:

    Girl= Allegra Vienne
    Boy=Dominic Samuel

  11. Tracey Seth Says:

No suggestions on the name thing here, but I did want to mention that when I had my sixth, we decided to not find out the gender before hand either….AND I asked that no one in the delivery room tell me what the baby was so that I could see for myself.

THAT was really worth it. Every kid up to that point, someone else told me before I could see. I loved the suprise in seeing for myself.

    And he was a boy.

  12. Brooke Says:

The fact that you are asking for help leads me to believe you haven’t found "the" name just yet! My sons name is Caleb Ryan. Some people have heard of the name Caleb and some haven’t so it’s not off the wall but not really popular either… Ryan is my husbands name and I love so thats that. Some other names I personally like that you may like too are:

    girl:
Brooke (which is my middle name, but if we ever have a girl it will be her middle name-we like it)
    Kayla
    Kendall
    Olivia

    boy:
    Caden
    Riley
    Sabastian
    Christian

  13. funnybunnyhunny Says:

    For a girl I like:

    1. Alisabeth
    2. Zoe
    3. Catrina or Katarina
    4. Rebekah

    For a boy I like:

    1. Eli
    2. Trenton
    3. Chase
    4. Jack

    Good Luck!

  14. Ro Says:

Girl: Rory or Bristol (or combined for 1st and middle name)
Boy: Trenton or Dawson ( or combined) Marak is nice too =D

  15. [ ḋυṡќÿ ] Says:

Please don’t spell any name wrong…it just makes it reaaally annoying and a burden for the child and future teachers.

Rory, Zoe(spelled correctly), Elisabeth & Irina are my favorites for a girl. Blake is a total boy’s name. For a boy, I love Evander, Jack, & Dawson.

  16. Annie Says:

From the ones you listed I love

    Girl:
Rory, Zoie both spelled this way (not a fan of the umelot or whatever it’s called when you spell it Zoe)
    Catrina, but spelled Katrina
    Blake - great
    Sable - love!
    Elena
    Bristol

Alisabeth is not a good idea. Your daughter will have her name misspelled for the rest of her life and it will drive her crazy.

    Boy:
    Michael
    Eli
    Jack - love!!

The rest sound either trendy or made up to me. And I actually don’t think Aidan is made up (Aidan Quinn the actor, I think it’s Irish), though it is very trendy right now.

  17. <3 is all you need Says:

I love Elena!!! That is adorable! and for a boy, I have always loved the name Michael.

    GOOD LUCK!

  18. Mummy 2 A Princess Says:

heres a few unisex names you could consider

    Dylan or Dhillon
    Alex
    Rian or Ryan
    Addison
    Charlie
    Ellis
    Jamie
    Lee or Leigh
    Robin or Robyn
    Sam (samantha or samuel)
    Tyler
    Sydney

good luck with your baby and good luck deciding! xx

  19. Genna Says:

    Girl Names:
My favorite from your list are Catrina but for me its too similar to your name. I think Irina and Bristol are kind of cute also. Some of your names- Rory and Blake are very boyish and I feel that a girl should have a girly feminine type name. I think Alisabeth is a horrible spelling. Rebekah and Elena are nice names. I love the spelling Zoie. I think Sable is too weird.

    Boy Names:
My favorites are Michael, Chase, and Eli. Those are great names for a boy. Evander is a little weird but then the kid will most likely go by Evan later on which is allright. Jack and Trenton are okay names. Marak is cool. Jedadiah is a little old fashioned for me. Fadem is just weird. Dawson is okay.

  20. Christian T Says:

For a girl, I love the names : Rory. but spelled Rorie.. and Blake.
For a boy : Eli, and Jack.
(Jackson, but called Jack is very cute)

  21. mandisa w Says:

fOR A girl i love the name Karina Even though thats not on the list lol and for a boy i would say Marak

  22. Ethel Says:

Unless you live in Alaska or off the Kamchatka Peninsula, dump "Bristol", it’s not something I think is acceptable to use unless you have personal experience of the region.

  23. jenn w Says:

off your list i like: eli and chase

    my fav names:

    girls: samantha

    boys: logan and conner
