Unfortunately I missed the shower but when I told her I’d get her something she said she had everything she needed. But she’s one of my best friends so I can’t just not get her anything, but she honestly doesn’t need any more baby clothes.
Since the baby loves car rides I thought about getting them a gas card. Or since the baby is all taken care of, I thought I’d actually give a present for my friend that is actually for her and not the baby. Any ideas are welcome. Please come up with as many as you can.

As far as the baby goes… you could always get her a sling if she doesn’t have one. It’s the one item I thought I could do without that I wished I got!! It would of been nice to have with a newborn… but the time I realized that I thought "oh well.. he’ll be over it in a few months".. now I realize how amazing they are to carry your baby around when they are older and sit on your hip. I borrowed a friend’s before and was super bummed I didn’t get one when he was younger.
Also, a gift card for wherever they get diapers is awesome. They can never have too many diapers. They go through them like water in the beginning.
If you want to get something for your friend you could always do the spa thing.. or you could make coupons for you to help her out. Like a coupon for you to make dinner or clean the house or do errands for her, etc. I WISH I had someone to do my dishes so I could take a nap when he does!
Does your friend have a favorite clothing store to shop at for her baby.. maybe BabyGap or Kohls? You could always get a gift-card. They outgrow clothing sizes every few months (or every month sometimes!) when they are young. She might have a bunch for certain sizes but when those are outgrown and she can get some new stuff for free I’m sure that would be fun for her! I always enjoy clothing shopping for my son.. but hate spending the money!

Gift cards are always really nice.
You can never have to many diapers. It would come in handy for her if she’s in a pinch.

You could get her one of those handprint or footprint kits, those are really cute.

Well for your friend you can make her a basket with some lotions and calgon, candles anything relaxing for days/nights when she just needs a mom moment with a soak in the tub and also could include some bubble bath, bath oils etc.For baby maybe one of those capture baby’s foot prints and hand print things.
